Duties
Performs and/or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the operation ad maintenance of indoor and/or outdoor recreational facilities.
Types of duties include but are not limited to the following; Serves as front desk attendant; ensures only authorized patrons use the facility and equipment; maintains reservation system for sports, courts and fields; issues and receives equipment; maintains indoor/outdoor facilities; ensures check-out items are clean and in good repair; inventories, restocks and displays check out items; provides equipment manager with a list of reorder needs. Performs opening and closing duties and daily cleaning on equipment, reporting damage to the supervisor. Monitors facility usage ensuring that all policies are followed. Ensures reserved areas are ready for customer use; ensures lockers are clean and operable. Launders intramural checkout uniforms and facility towels. Assists in setting up facilities, grounds and equipment for programs and special functions. Prepares athletic fields and playing surfaces for daily and seasonal competition. Operates grounds care equipment such as utility vehicles and dry line markers, etc. Assists customers by explaining equipment functions and features available.
Performs other duties as assigned.

The area of consideration for this vacancy announcement:
Citizens, permanent residents, and legal residents of the United States (US) who reside within the local commuting area (60-mile radius) of RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom (UK), or will do so within the next 30 days.

Must be able to read, write and speak English.
