Job Title: Social Media Marketing Specialist
Job Location: Hybrid
Job Summary:
We are looking for a creative, passionate, and data-driven Social Media Marketing Specialist to grow and manage ORT’s online presence. You will be responsible for creating engaging content, increasing brand awareness, and driving user engagement across various social platforms. If you love storytelling, trends, and digital marketing—and are passionate about education—this role is for you!
Key Responsibilities:
1) Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to align with ORT’s brand voice and objectives
2) Create engaging content (reels, videos, posts, carousels, stories) across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube
3) Monitor and respond to audience engagement; build community and increase follower growth
4) Analyze performance using metrics and tools; generate regular reports and insights
5) Stay up-to-date with trends in social media, EdTech, and digital marketing
6) Plan, run, and optimize ad campaigns on Google Ads, Meta Ads, and other digital platforms.
7) Lead the development of ORT’s social media strategy and execution across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter/X, etc.).
8) Engage online communities through DMs, forums, and comments to build loyalty and credibility.
9) Compile and present monthly performance dashboards with insights, learnings, and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications and Skills:
1) Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
2) 2+ years of experience in social media marketing or content creation
3) Proven experience managing Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube business accounts
4) Strong storytelling, copywriting, and content ideation skills
5) Familiarity with tools like Canva, Buffer/Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, or similar
6) Video editing or basic design knowledge is a must
7) Understanding of performance analytics and social media KPIs
8) Passion for education, literacy, or working with impact-driven organizations
9) Excellent communication skills — both creative storytelling and data-driven reporting.
10) Ability to work cross-functionally in a remote-first, fast-paced environment.
11) Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
