Our City Works team is looking for a self-motivated, hardworking and experienced individual to fill the position of Plant Operator. The role involves undertaking construction and maintenance of the City’s roads, car parks, drainage and shared paths infrastructure in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner and to agreed quality standards.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Experience in road, car park, drainage and shared path construction
Practical experience with the operation of road construction equipment, tools and plant
Roller Operator’s Accreditation Certificate
Loader Operator’s Accreditation Certificate
Tracked Skid Steer Operators Accreditation Certificate
Current unrestricted “HR” (Heavy Rigid) class national driver’s licence
Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
Knowledge of safe operation and user maintenance of plant, equipment and heavy vehicles
Team player
Literacy and numerical skills
Ability to operate electronic devices, such as smartphones and tablets
In addition to the above, the following will be highly regarded:

Current certificate in Basic Worksite Traffic Management (desirable)
Current Traffic Controller accreditation (desirable)
Chainsaw Operator Ticket (desirable)
Current Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
Excavator and Watercart Ticket (desirable)
As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to participate in a full pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing.

This fulltime Level 3 position attracts a salary range of $72,7+5 - $75,503 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
