As a Manager with the Financial institutions Group (GIF) at National Bank of Canada, you will facilitate relationships with international correspondent banks in order to cultivate and maintain relationships aimed at facilitating client payments and strengthening the Bank's revenues. This position allows you to have a positive impact on the organisation thanks to your ability to develop relationships with banks and various internal sectors.
Your job:
Develop and execute strategies to improve existing relationships and acquire new clients
Work with a multitude of internal partners, including International Treasury, Product, Operations, Foreign Exchange and Compliance teams, to provide global solutions and effectively meet client needs.
Regular meetings with clients to understand their objectives, provide information on industry trends and offer strategic advice to support their development
Monitor market developments and regulatory changes affecting financial institutions
Grow revenues by identifying cross-selling opportunities and promoting our range of products and services
Documenting interactions with various clients concerning transactions and business opportunities (CRM)

** The role requires occasional travel for up to 20% of the time

Prerequisites:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field; advanced diploma or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, MBA) preferred
Experience (5 years) in relationship management, business development or sales in the financial services industry, with a focus on service to financial institutions
Excellent understanding of financial products and services, including international trade, cash management, financial markets and risk management
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and establish credibility with high-level executives
Track to achieve or exceed objectives
Strategic vision with the ability to analyse market trends, identify opportunities and develop action plans to achieve business objectives
Languages:
English, French, Spanish
Reason to require this language: you will need to serve clients who speak a language other than French regularly.
