Responsibilities
Administer and verify bi-weekly multi-province payroll via ADP Workforce Now, including benefits, tax and other source deductions (consistent with federal and provincial payroll legislation), contributions to RRSP plan.
Responsible for entering data for employee such as new hires, ROEs, terminations, transfers, reclassifications, promotions (employee full life cycle).
Verifies auto timesheets are calculating correctly, missed punches are fixed, and approvals completed for time and PTO requests and exception entries, all within the specified payroll processing deadline.
Responsible for PTO plan maintenance and reporting
Liase as required with department managers and HR teams to clarify or request further information for payroll cycle to complete duties as required, following auditing requirements.
Provide day to day support and guidance and answer questions and resolving issues regarding payroll with internal and external stakeholders.
Act as liaison with company benefits provider to ensure employee coverage is up to date.
Provide support to employees regarding Benefits administration – Retirement, Disability and Health Benefits
Create regular weekly, bi-weekly and monthly reports required by the business leadership team.
Qualifications
Undergraduate degree required, preferably in Finance, Business, or Human Resources, or related field
Minimum 2+ years of payroll processing experience for a multi-provincial payroll, in a diverse organization.
Experience administering a company Benefits program.
Working knowledge of ADP WorkforceNow Payroll/HRIS preferred.
Bilingual (English and French) a definite asset.
