About the Role:
The Acute Hospital Professional is responsible for providing safe and effective patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a skilled and compassionate nurse to work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.
As part of our Transition to Acute Care Rotation Program, this professional will have the opportunity to rotate through multiple departments and specialty units over a 10-month period. The program is designed to support the development of skills and attributes required to thrive in an Acute Care Hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and identify discharge planning requirements
Plan appropriate care in consultation with patients and the multidisciplinary team
Evaluate patient progress and revise nursing interventions as needed
Complete accurate documentation of nursing care and communicate with other team members
Requirements:
Current Authority to Practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Demonstrated recent clinical experience in general nursing
Demonstrated commitment to personal and professional development and a desire to continually improve patient care
Ability to work unsupervised and as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team
