Job Summary and Qualifications
What you will do in this role:

You will be responsible for monitoring patients before, during, and after infusion(s).
You will be responsible for care and maintenance of peripheral and central lines; this includes but not limited to accessing port-a-caths and maintaining all types of central venous catheters.
You will be responsible for coordinating and having consistent communication with pharmacy personnel
You will be responsible for monitoring lab results and communicating with physicians in a timely manner any abnormal results.
You will be responsible for providing teaching and instructions to patients receiving infusions in the clinic and at home.
What qualifications you will need:

Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
1 year of Oncology/Chemo or Infusion experience as a licensed RN is required
ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Certificate Provider card needed.
OCN Oncology Certified Nurse preferred.
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
American Heart Association BLS Certification is required
