Job description
We’re looking for a talented and dynamic individual to join the team in a permanent, full-time role as Mid-Weight Graphic Designer.
This position plays a key role in the production and execution of creative assets across digital, print, and motion. This role requires collaboration with other members of our talented Studio team, as well as the broader business and, on occasion, our agency partners.
Exceptional attention to detail and a strong technical focus on production are essential to ensuring all assets meet brand, platform, and production specifications. With a focus on efficiency, accuracy, and execution, you’ll be responsible for producing high-quality assets across a broad range of media channels and platforms, ensuring Tourism Australia’s creative output is delivered seamlessly and at scale.
While not mandatory, proficiency in additional languages is highly desirable. Tourism Australia operates in multiple international markets, and written and spoken language skills can support creative execution and localisation across regions. Languages that are advantageous include but are not limited to Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, French, German, and Italian.

What will set you apart from the crowd ensure your success in the role? To succeed in this role, your profile will demonstrate the following:
Tertiary qualifications in graphic design or a relevant field
Minimum three years’ professional graphic design experience in an in-house studio, agency, or production environment
Proven ability to deliver high-quality creative assets across digital, print, and motion formats
High-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, colour theory, and layout
Experience with both print and digital design, ensuring consistency across formats
Foundational knowledge of HTML and CSS to support digital design projects
Familiarity with UI/UX design principles for creating user-friendly digital experiences
Basic video editing and animation skills to enhance multimedia content
Ability to work efficiently on both Mac and PC platforms
Basic illustration abilities to support creative concepts
Basic project management and workflow coordination skills to ensure smooth execution
Excellent time management and workflow coordination to meet deadlines effectively.
