About this opportunity:

We are seeking an individual with excellent writing skills, a sound knowledge of Trust and Foundations and contemporary marketing practices to join OV as a Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator!

You will provide support across digital marketing and communications, brand management, and have prime responsibility for researching and preparing submissions to suitable Trusts and Foundations, with the aim of driving revenue growth. This role also contributes to the broader marketing and fundraising goals of the Development Unit and therefore includes development of fundraising under the direction of the Executive Manager, Development, People Communication.

Duties include but are not limited to…

Undertake research to develop and create targeted project submissions, for Trusts and Foundations.
Identify existing and emerging Trusts and Foundation bodies for potential submission opportunities.
Proactively match the scope of funding bodies to the needs of the organisation and where appropriate, build relationships with funding bodies.
Develop and coordinate project proposals in consultation with relevant program areas.
Edit and proof submission work, to review and enhance quality of submissions.
Develop and maintain a tracking tool to track opportunities and ensure completion of project requirements to meet the submission deadlines.
Cultivate relationships with new and existing Trusts and Foundations, and other key stakeholders.
Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders such as program managers and Executives to understand current program areas, their needs, and strategic directions.
Obtain approval and consensus on the list of projects for submissions, as required, gaining organisational support and awareness of current projects.
Maintain accurate records of submissions and coordinate the acquittal of all grants.
Create compelling copy and content across various channels such as the website, and printed materials.
Support marketing initiatives and events such as conferences and new site openings.
Support the Project Manager – Executive Programs in developing, scheduling and monitoring social media posts.
Write fundraising appeals and donor newsletters.

If you were here last week, you would have:

Researched upcoming Trusts and Foundations for our eligibility to tailor and submit any potential applications.
Liaised with Executive managers and program managers to understand current needs and gaps.
Checked for any outstanding acquittals that need to be submitted to satisfy funding requirements of previously funded projects.
Produced any reports detailing program outcomes or previously funded projects.
Liaised with Trusts and Foundations key stakeholders to build rapport and establish relationships.
Key Selection Criteria:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Marketing and Fundraising Coordinator to drive revenue growth through submissions to suitable Trusts and Foundations, whilst also contributing to our wider fundraising and marketing goals.

To be successful in this role, you must have…

Excellent writing skills, preferably in Trusts and Foundations submission writing and reporting, but with key aim to convey content most effectively to diverse audiences.
Knowledge of contemporary marketing practices, including community partnerships building experience, particularly in the not-for-profit space.
Demonstrated fundraising experience, with proven success.
Sound knowledge of fundraising legislation and practices, and the philosophy of charitable giving
Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to listen as well as negotiate and collaborate effectively.
Demonstrated ability to work productively, both autonomously and as part of a team
Self-motivated, flexible, and responsive
Strong time management and organisational skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
