Position Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Chemistry and Physics teacher to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate is passionate about science education, skilled in curriculum delivery, and committed to inspiring high school students to explore and excel in these subjects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach Chemistry and Physics courses to students in Grades 9–12, including university-prep (e.g., SCH3U/SCH4U, SPH3U/SPH4U) and general-level courses
• Develop lesson plans that align with the Ontario Secondary School Curriculum
• Foster a supportive and engaging classroom environment
• Evaluate student progress through assessments, lab work, and exams
• Provide extra academic support and feedback as needed
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development sessions
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree an asset)
• Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) status preferred; equivalent qualifications considered
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Experience teaching high school students in Canada or an international equivalent
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
• Passion for science education and student success
