English Teacher (GCSE)

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic English teacher to teach GCSE English Language and Literature. The ideal candidate will foster a love for reading and writing while developing students' critical thinking, communication skills, and exam success.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach English Language and Literature in line with the national curriculum (AQA or Edexcel)
Deliver well-structured and engaging lessons that cater to different learning styles
Assess and provide feedback to students to support progress and attainment
Contribute to the planning and implementation of schemes of work and assessments
Support literacy development across the school
Prepare students for GCSE exams through targeted intervention and exam techniques
Requirements:

A degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject
Experience teaching at KS3 and KS4 (GCSE level)
Strong command of the English language and deep literary understanding
