Job Description
Qualification: Graduation, Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education. Exercise Science
Certifications (any one or more):
Certification in Skating Coaching (RSFI / state-level recognized bodies preferred).
Sports Achievement: Former professional, national, or state-level Skater is highly preferred.
Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Skating coaching experience and as a competitive skater. Experience working with children or youth programs is desirable
Assist in conducting Skating sessions for beginners and intermediate-level athletes.
Demonstrate Skating techniques, safety practices, warm-ups, and cool-downs.
Help the Senior Coach implement training plans, drills, and routines.
Ensure students wear proper safety gear (helmets, guards, skates) and follow rules.
Supervise students during practice to prevent injuries and intervene when necessary.
Assist in first-aid support during minor injuries and report incidents immediately.
Help organize intra-school, inter-school and inter-university and inter-club Skating competitions and time trials.
Accompany and support students at tournaments and Skating events.
Assist in managing registration, uniforms, and travel logistics for competitions.
Support in maintaining Skating gear, ensuring it is functional and stored properly.
Assist with setup and packing of cones, mats, or portable equipment if used.
Motivate young skaters to participate regularly and improve performance.
Observe progress and report individual development to the Senior Coach.
Assist in maintaining attendance and skill assessment records.
Key Skills
Proficient in inline or roller Skating techniques.
Strong communication and child-friendly approach.
Discipline, patience, and energy to work with young athletes.
Willingness to work flexible hours- split shift- including weekends or early mornings.
CPR and First Aid certification.
