Job Summary:
We are currently seeking highly professional and experienced Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to work in various long-term and acute care facilities in the Kingston area.
This opportunity offers above-average wages, travel compensation, and accommodation. RPNs will be required to work early morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts with consistent hours and a set schedule until further notice.
Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician's orders, resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN.
Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care in assigned home areas.
Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientation to the home and services offered.
Ensure safekeeping of drugs and narcotics, adhering to protocols on all assigned shifts.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements:
Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Able to work with persons having infectious diseases.
BLS Certificate.
Valid First Aid CPR.
Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), as well as Hepatitis B and negative TB skin test within one year.
Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Availability to work flexible shift times (8 or 12 hours in length) depending on facility requirements.
Ability to 'float' between units within a hospital based on facility need.
Reliability in accepting and honoring agreed-upon placements at facilities/units.
Compliance with RhynoCare Healthcare shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
