Are you seeking an exciting Registered Nurse (RN) experience in Canada's remote northern communities? Bayshore HealthCare’s Northern Staffing program has provided high-quality community health care solutions to Canada's North since 1997. Our Healthcare Professionals work closely with diverse Indigenous communities (First Nations, Inuit and Métis), providing care to community members. We hire passionate team-members from all over Canada who travel on assignments to remote northern communities of British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut. We provide a unique way to experience an expanded clinical scope of practice while enjoying an adventure at the same time! Average assignment durations vary from 2 to 6 weeks.

The work you will do:
• Work in a team atmosphere performing an expanded scope of practice in communities, providing primary and emergency care to all residents –from newborn to elders –through a nursing station / Health Center in a clinic atmosphere
• Utilize the skills of observation, assessment, nursing diagnosis, counseling, and health teaching according to care plan
• Health Promotion, Assessments, planning and implementing care using Best Practice Clinical Practice Guidelines; primary care and emergency care; travel nursing; experience creating care plans; IPAC and communicable disease control, immunizations
• Ensure that, on an ongoing basis, the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort and safety of clients are met to the greatest possible extent within the scope of practice

Who You Are:
• You are a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and have a nursing license through the governing body in good standing
• You are a licensed Nurse registered in good standing
• You have or are willing to obtain a nursing license through the regulating body in the provinces or territories you wish to work
• You meet the required work experience
• Mandatory skillsets and additional training requirements and reimbursements will be discussed during interview

Experience

Preferred
• 2 year(s): Minimum 2 years, defined as 3,000 hours of full-time experience within the past 3-5 years in primary, acute/critical care nursing activities in the: Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, or in an acute care setting
• 1 year(s): OR 1 year, defined as 1,500 hours of full-time within the past 5 years working in remote, isolated or semi-isolated communities as a Community Health Nurse
