Job Title: Assistant Director – Time and Expense Assistant Product Manager

As part of a joint Finance/Enterprise Technology organization called the Mercury Support Team (MST), you’ll be at the forefront of enabling innovative technologies that support our core operating processes across the Opportunity and Engagement Lifecycle and its related Finance Applications.

The opportunity

We are seeking an SAP Time and Expense Assistant Product Manager that is a highly skilled role with SAP Concur functional and technical skills across all aspects of Product Management / Product Operations paired with expertise in a large global organization.

In this role you will support critical elements of the global operational stability of the SAP Time and Expense product suite. This includes monitoring, maintenance and resolution of systems incidents and outages as well as playing a role in the successful delivery/deployment of Time and Expense enhancements, configurations and product releases. Candidate must be a self-starter with global SAP Concur Expense and SAP Timesheet technical and business process experience.

Your key responsibilities
• Understand and support documentation of business processes, workflows, and requirements to ensure ERP components align with organizational goals and operational needs.
• Develop detailed functional specifications for SAP Timesheet and SAP Concur Expense components, including user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria for new features, configurations, technical fixes and enhancements.
• Provide support to the lead Product Manager in their interactions with business / finance stakeholders and the technical team, facilitating communication and ensuring mutual understanding of requirements and constraints.
• Support product update and enhancement lifecycle with emphasis on demand, requirements, validation, and securing business signoff
• Support requirements review, validation activities, test case reviews, and user acceptance testing for new features rolling out across SAP Concur product suite
• Ensure that SAP components adhere to industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Monitor the effectiveness of SAP components in supporting business operations and report on their impact and ROI.
• Monitor impacts to other processes and products that may stem from changes they promote across the SAP Timesheet and SAP Concur product suite
• Manage functional incidents and service requests through full lifecycle (through closure)
• Provide technical incident, service request, and problem tickets management oversight and prioritization
• Provides global, cross border major incident oversight and communicates status to the global business in a timely manner
• Adhere to SLA compliance for all workloads and re-prioritizes tickets if necessary
• Analyse batch failures/errors and summarize findings in reports to lead Product Manager and to the business
• Understand and assess the financial impacts of incidents related to disrupted product processes – assisting the business work through complex errors and reconciliations
• Assist with planning staffing levels across the SAP Timesheet and SAP Concur Expense product suite and works with leadership and HR staff to recruit, interview, hire, and employee appropriate employees
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning
• Establish and maintain relevant controls and feedback systems to monitor the operation of the department

Skills and attributes for success
• 5+ years of experience in a large business system environment, performing business analysis, business development, and/or project systems management with a preferred focus on SAP Concur employee expense solution

5+ years of experience in SAP Timesheet and SAP Concur Expense solutions (e.g. tax administration, audit rules management, workflows, forms and fields management, Cognos reporting)
• Direct experience in supporting Time and Expense operations for a global professional services organization
• SAP certification preferred
• History of working credibly with senior stakeholders
• Exceptional verbal and written skills including strong cross-cultural communication and the ability to draft effective communications
• Ability to work with people in a variety of cultures, countries and time zones
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence, BOT Framework and Machine learning

To qualify for the role, you must have
• Creative and self-starter mindset with strong analytical and quantitative skills to operate, at times, without direct supervision on multiple complex projects and tasks, and their shifting priorities in parallel.
• Effective listening skills and display openness to other people's ideas and thoughts.
• Ability to deal efficiently with escalations, conflicts and difficult situations/people under pressure.
• English language skills – exceptional written and verbal communication.
• Flexibility to work out of regular office hours to cater to the global organization needs.

Ideally, you’ll also have
• Prior experience working for a large, global organization with a complex environment
• Prior experience with SAP HRMM
• Prior experience with SAP Financials

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience

Experience:
• 5+ years of relevant experience in an SAP Concur function
• Possession of a current (non-expired) professional, industry recognized certification preferred
