Are you passionate about building a future of wireless infrastructure? Join our dynamic team as a Wireless Telecommunications Technician and play a key role in delivery high quality installations and upgrades across Queensland and Northern NSW. This is fixed term position until 30.03.26.

About the Role
You will be part of a high performing team in a critical communications environment working across diverse locations upgrading Optus radio access network sites. You will deliver first time right hand over packs with high accuracy while maintaining safety and quality standards and drive continuous improvements in construction processes and methodologies.
Participate in build planning, material reviews and procurement
Removing, installing and updating DC systems, and base station equipment
Ensure safety compliance and quality assurance throughout construction phase
Test and commission DC power systems, RF and optic fibre systems and RAN base stations
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to meet project goals
Lead and support junior field team members, sharing knowledge and best practice

Required Skills and Experience
You must have hands on knowledge of DC power systems, radio systems and wireless hardware and possess strong ownership, integrity and collaborative attitude. Experience with Optus, Nokia and Ericsson preferred.
Cert III in Telecommunication s (cert IV preferred)
Construction white card
Current driver’s licence (and 4x4 driving)
Cabler licence (preferred)
RF awareness, First Aid CPR, Work Safely at Heights and Tower Rescue
