We are growing, 4-doctor, small animal hospital located in Katy, TX and are seeking to hire a Full-Time Veterinary Technician to add to our amazing team. Hours are Monday through Friday 1pm - 7pm and every other weekend with some holidays.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with outstanding customer service skills, veterinary technician skills, communication skills, and the ability to multitask. We are looking for a Veterinary Technician with a minimum of 2-3 years experience and an enthusiastic attitude.

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Follows appropriate safety precautions and assist in restraining pets in a manner that allows necessary procedures to be done with minimal stress to patients.
Taking accurate notes and medical history of patients in exam rooms with top notch communication skills and client education.
Can collect, prepare, and run laboratory samples for in-house testing.
Proactively assesses patient needs, records all findings, and notifies veterinarian.
Is proficient in placing IV catheters and monitoring patients under anesthesia.
Enjoys obtaining diagnostic radiographs and dental radiographs, along with performing dental prophylaxis.
Routine technical skills - Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, administration of vaccines and medication filling and administration.
Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for grooming, boarding and hospitalized pets.
Stocking examination and surgery room with supplies, sterilizing tools and ensuring that equipment is in working order.
Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
2-3 years experience as a veterinary technician.
Is ethical, punctual, and has excellent time management skills.
Possess a good attitude and contribute to a positive work environment.
AVImark experience is a plus.
