Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the financial health of our organization.

Responsibilities

Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
Conduct account analysis and prepare detailed account reconciliations.
Execute bank reconciliation processes to verify cash balances and transactions.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring compliance with SOX regulations.
Assist in private equity accounting tasks and reporting as needed.
Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure timely reporting.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and adjustments.
Skills

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including general ledger reconciliation and account reconciliation.
Experience with private equity accounting is a plus.
Proficient in bank reconciliation processes and financial report writing.
Excellent financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex data sets.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
