TeacherActive is proud to be working with an Independent Primary School with their search for Teaching Assistants. This is an exciting opportunity for you to work with a warm and positive private school, who are focused on child engagement with a specific approach to children with autistic and ADHD traits. The school's specialist care, therapeutic services and education provide support for children with complex learning difficulties and disabilities, including social, emotional and mental health / SEMH. The school creates an environment for each individual to develop both academically and personally.

This Higher Level Teaching Assistant role is an September start for a Long-Term position with an opportunity to go permanent. We help Teaching Assistants find their next role in a supportive school environment to help them progress in their teaching journey.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience with SEND students as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant
Excellent classroom management
Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification, not a necessity
DBS on the Update Service
