The Lumistella Company is a global intellectual property company dedicated to bringing Santa’s North Pole to life for children around the world through consumer products, original entertainment and brand experiences. We are home to the most iconic and beloved Christmas brands of this generation including The Elf on the Shelf, Elf Pets, and Elf Mates.
The Seasonal Brand Protection Specialist supports the Brand Protection team by monitoring and addressing online infringements. Assigned to a designated region (North America, Europe, or Australia/New Zealand), the Specialist investigates infringing content across e-commerce platforms, third-party websites, and social media. Responsibilities include recommending takedown actions, preparing DMCA notices, and compiling weekly reports highlighting infringement trends. The role is focused on protecting intellectual property through vigilant online enforcement.
The Seasonal Brand Protection Specialist will:
Gain understanding of company IP through training and SOP review.
Perform manual searches for infringements and process takedown actions per established protocols.
Log all infringement cases in the NPC system in accordance with SOP guidelines.
Compile weekly status reports summarizing trends, counterfeit issues, and enforcement actions.
Evaluate complex infringement cases and escalate to management when needed.
Maintain organized records of research, takedown actions, and supporting documentation.
Conduct research on relevant IP laws and case developments globally.
Assist with collecting data for new and existing trademark and copyright registrations.
Support internal IP initiatives and gather information for potential legal action.
Ensure proper handling of sensitive information in compliance with company policies.

The ideal candidate will bring:
1–2 years of professional experience in research, data analysis, or a legal setting preferred.
Background in paralegal or criminal justice fields is advantageous
Strong verbal and written communication; able to interact confidently with teams and managers.
Proficiency in research and summarizing findings into actionable insights.
Skill in compiling and presenting data-driven reports.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (chart creation), Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Strong listening, note-taking, and direction-following capabilities.
Effective communication skills in a global, multicultural environment.
Education requirements:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., research, legal studies, criminal justice) or equivalent experience.
Paralegal/Criminal Justice certification preferred but not required.
Bi-lingual abilities preferred but not mandatory.
