We are seeking a retail salesperson/office administrator who is enthusiastic and energetic to join our team. This retail position is being offered by Overwrought Garden Art under the General Retail Industry Award 2010. We retail directly onsite at our gallery and sculpture garden. We also sell online and we wholesale our products to retail outlets around Australia.
The position being offered is over five day +.30am to 5.00pm. Days of work are Wednesday to Sunday. Retail penalties apply on weekends. The position involves customer service in the gallery as well as undertaking administration tasks associated with phone, online and wholesale orders, invoicing and shipping.
The successful applicant will be required to perform the following job duties:
· Undertake opening and closing procedures in the gallery including financial reconciliation of all sales.
· Provide exceptional customer service whilst selling garden art made on site and various artisan products.
· Undertake stock control, pricing and visual merchandising of products in the gallery and outside in the sculpture garden.
· Undertake cleaning and organisation of the gallery to a high standard.
· Use a coffee machine to prepare coffees. (Training provided if necessary)
· Perform administration tasks associated with phone, online and wholesale sales, prepare and distribute invoices and record payments. Training will be provided in the use of our Point of Sale and other IT systems.
· Liase with packing staff in warehouse to pack online retail and wholesale orders
· Prepare and coordinate shipping with couriers.

· Exceptional customer service skills demonstrated in a previous position including the ability to upsell.
· High level interpersonal skills and a positive customer focused attitude.
· High standard of personal presentation and ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organisation in the working environment.
· Ability to work well within a small team in a professional manner.
· Proficiency in organizing and managing own workload and being self-directed and independent in work processes.
· Competency with computers essential and competency with point of sale equipment preferred but not essential.
· High level written and verbal communication skills for speaking to and corresponding with customers.
· Understanding of occupational health and safety requirements for this position.
· Own transport as location is not accessible by public transport.
· Experience in working with tourists would also be an advantage.
· Barista skills would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
· A reasonable level of physical fitness is required as the position involves frequent standing and lifting and transporting of metal garden art.
