Job description
VET.CT are looking for a warm, professional and proactive People Advisor to join our friendly people team! This opportunity will an 18 month fixed term contract and has arisen due to several maternity leaves within our people team.

We offer a hybrid working style at VET.CT, this role requires someone who is available to come into our Cambridge office 2 days per week.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
• Support the recruitment processes, working alongside hiring managers (e.g., drafting job descriptions, shortlisting, interviewing, benchmarking)
• Coordinate onboarding programmes for new starters
• Support managers with performance management processes
• Advise on employment law and HR best practice
• Identify training needs and assist with sourcing appropriate learning solutions for the business
• Deliver training on HR topics, (e.g. absence management or performance reviews)
• Maintain accurate HR records and systems (e.g., absence, performance)
• Generate HR reports via our HRIS and provide analysis on key metrics (e.g. sickness, turnover)
• Provide first line HR advice to employees and managers
• Help implement strategies to support employee retention and engagement across the business
• Contribute to HR initiatives such as wellbeing programs; diversity equity and inclusion; and change management projects
• General HR administration and support

Skills Required
• Warm and approachable
• Strong HR generalist background
• Interest in HR systems, recruitment and learning and development
• Experience of fully utilising a HRIS (HiBob experience would be advantageous)
• A confident, professional and friendly approach to communications both both verbally and in writing
• Adaptable
• A great team player
• Knowledge of HR policies, employment law and best practice (international experience advantageous)
• Able to help identify training needs and support with implementation of development programmes for the business
• Strong data management skills
• Strong understanding of data protection and confidentiality
