Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join the Wairarapa Emergency Department Team.

Role Description
Provide advanced clinical expertise and leadership to enhance patient treatment and care planning for patients within the Emergency Department.

Work independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to utilize advanced health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment implementation in both adult and pediatric patients.

Reduce waiting times, decrease ED length of stay, and increase patient satisfaction for individuals presenting to the Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities
Utilize advanced health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment implementation skills in both adult and pediatric patients.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop effective models of care in the department.
Develop and implement quality initiatives to optimize patient outcomes.
Provide teaching and mentoring to support the professional development of staff.
Requirements
New Zealand Registered Nurse Practitioner qualification including Registration current Annual Practising Certificate.
Recent clinical experience in an emergency care setting.
Current knowledge about issues within nursing and acute care nursing.
Sound knowledge and understanding of medico/legal and ethical responsibilities.
