Job Title: Marketing Coordinator
Location: Bobcaygeon, Ontario
Employment Type: Seasonal (Summer Position)
Organization: Bobcaygeon and Area Chamber of Commerce

The Bobcaygeon and Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a creative, community-minded, and results-driven Marketing Coordinator to join our team for the summer. In this dynamic role, you will play a key part in supporting local businesses by developing and implementing marketing strategies that enhance their visibility.

As the Marketing Coordinator, you’ll act as a connector between the Chamber, local business owners, and the broader community. Key Responsibilities:

Engage with local businesses to understand their needs and identify marketing opportunities.
Assist in the creation and execution of strategic marketing plans.
Manage and grow the Chamber’s presence on social media and digital platforms.
Represent the Chamber and the business community at events, in town, and online.
Create engaging content including videos, podcasts, blog posts, and promotional materials.
Collaborate with local organizations such as BIAs, other Chambers, and tourism groups.
Support and promote community events such as concerts, movies, and cultural celebrations (e.g., the Curve Lake First Nation POW WOW).
Track engagement metrics and provide feedback on campaign success.
Qualifications Skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Creative and confident in developing social media and digital content.
Comfortable engaging with the public and speaking on behalf of an organization.
Organized, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and in a team.
Interest in tourism, marketing, small business, and community development.
Familiarity with Bobcaygeon and the Kawartha Lakes area is an asset.
Previous experience in marketing, communications, or customer service is a plus.
Basic knowledge of design or video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe, etc.) is considered an advantage.
What We Offer:

The chance to make a visible impact in a growing community.
Opportunities to develop leadership, communication, and digital media skills.
