We are seeking to appoint a marketing and communications assistant to join our busy marketing team and make a positive impact in a growing and progressive business. The position is full time and will be based at our clinical site in Manchester city centre (travel to other MAC clinical sites for content/meetings, and remote working may be required).
The focus of this role
Support the Patient Engagement team by using your creativity to design and implement engaging and targeted, integrated marketing campaigns to promote a wide variety of clinical trials and therapeutic areas.
To create awareness of and develop the MAC Clinical Research brand, identify and communicate with target audiences, and build and develop relationships with patients and the wider team.
Assisting with all areas of marketing, such as social media, email, PR, advertising, event organisation, content creation, designing marketing materials, creating both written and visual content for our channels, and analysing and reporting on campaign performance. You will be responsible for writing engaging content for various purposes and working with influencers, agencies, and media organisations to push our messages out. You will need to assist with tracking and reporting, identify opportunities, and optimise campaigns.
Support the Marketing and Content manager with any marketing tasks and work with the marketing team and Patient Enrolment Team to achieve business KPI’s and ROI.
KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Experience creating and managing organic social media campaigns and platforms, in line with performance objectives (essential)
Experience using platforms/tools such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok
Demonstrate an understanding and competency in social media marketing
Keep up to date with new digital marketing developments and drive early adoption
Maintain an awareness of participant recruitment issues and deadlines
Computer literacy - Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
Have excellent organization and communication skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise workloads
Experience in using software such as Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro/After Effects (or similar), Canva
Experience designing, creating, and executing email campaigns through Mailchimp (or similar)
Knowledge of lead generation and conversion principles
Experience creating audience segments and developing targeted campaigns that deliver a targeted message and create affinity with the MAC brand/clinical trials
Creative storyteller, able to write compelling content
Be self-motivated, flexible, and adaptable
Ability to work independently, without direct supervision and as part of a team
Be innovative and creative, bring fresh ideas to the table
Experience using social media automation software such as Sprout Social or Hootsuite
DESIREABLE SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
Experience creating and managing paid social media and Google campaigns, in line with performance objectives
Experience using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
Experience of shooting, editing, and creating graphics for video content (Youtube, social media)
Knowledge of SEO and the best practices involved in making content optimised for SERP’s
Knowledge and experience of Wordpress and optimising landing pages for lead generation
Experience working with Influencers and their agents
Experience in the planning and executing of CRM, and Email automation using Mailchimp
Knowledge and understanding A/B testing
Knowledge and experience of more traditional marketing such as radio, out of home and TV.
