About the Role…
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Venue Operations Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Head of Events Venue Operations, you will be the operational eyes ears of Sydney Showground. This is not a desk job, you will be proactively participating in event operations and overseeing the operational floor manager team, security and cleaning contractor for our 20 hectare site.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for:
Providing support back up to the Head of Events Venue Operations for major events operational and in our control room.
Supporting the planning of precinct operations emergency management
Coordinating managing day to day delivery of event operations including security, cleaning waste management
Developing, reviewing and producing operational procedures, systems manuals
Monitoring venue operations to determine possible actions required to facilitate continuous improvement to the services and facilities of Sydney Showground
About you…
To be successful in this role you would need to possess the following:
Minimum 3 years industry experience at a supervisory level
Minimum 3 years experience managing staff
Event experience
Knowledge and experience operating services and plant associated with the operation of venues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Hold a current NSW drivers license
Ability to work to and meet project deadlines
Be committed to excellent customer service with high attention to detail
Be energetic, proactive, committed have great work ethic
Be able to work an event based roster including weekdays, weekends late nights
Be legally entitled to live work in Australia
