Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
* Maintain accurate and confidential records of law enforcement activities
* Process and distribute crime, incident, arrest, and accident reports to the general public and various agencies
* Assist and provide information to the public in person and by telephone
* Answer phones and provide assistance to the public, other city staff, and outside agencies
* Process subpoenas and maintain accurate records related to individual files or criminal history information
* Perform Live Scan and Ink Card fingerprinting
* Demonstrate a full understanding of applicable policies, procedures, and work practices associated with assigned duties

Working Conditions
* Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
* Interact with the public, law enforcement personnel, and other city staff on a regular basis
* May be required to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Requirements
* Equivalent to completion of twelfth (12th) grade
* One year of general office support or secretarial experience
* Ability to learn, interpret, and apply administrative and departmental policies and procedures
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Strong organizational and time management skills
