Job description
Mount Royal Hotel Edinburgh is seeking an experienced, autonomous self-starter and charismatic HR Executive. Located in the heart of Scotland's vibrant capital, our hotel provides unbeatable access to must-see landmarks. Embracing our Gen-U ethos, our team collaborates to create authentic experiences for guests, enhanced by the recent refurbishment of key areas within the hotel.

You will report to the portfolio HR Manager and the Hotel General Manager, supporting and working towards providing practical, consistent and proactive business partnering support and advice to business stakeholders on the employment lifecycle, in accordance with procedure, policy, best practise and employment legislation in line with the objectives of the business.

The HR Executive is responsible for:
• Recruitment and Onboarding: supporting stakeholders with recruitment, promotion of employer branding, managing onboarding, offboarding and probation periods.
• Payroll: Oversees end to end payroll processing, compliance and management for the hotel
• Learning and Development: Identifies LD needs, coordinates facilitates training courses, manages associated administration and reporting within the LMS.
• Annual Activities: Supports with Compensation activities, the performance appraisal process, and culture and engagement practises.
• Administration and Compliance: Maintains HR databases, supports reward and benefits, ensures compliance and conducts internal audits to maintain HR standards

To be successful in the role of HR Executive we require:
• A confident communicator, able to clearly communicate with all levels of stakeholders, internal and external
• The ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and responsibilities efficiently
• Up to date knowledge of UK Employment Legislation
• Minimum 2-3 years in an HR officer or advisory role
• It would be advantageous to have experience in a hotel or service-related industry
• Has or is working towards a qualification in Human Resources would be advantageous, not essential if relevant industry experience is demonstrated
