Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is an organizational area that operates as an internal service provider for the Hydro group. Its ultimate purpose is to deliver relevant IT, financial and HR business services to all business areas within the company.
Role purpose:
To handle employee relations/compensation benefits related processes and provide accurate and timely guidance to line managers and employees as required.
Responsibilities:
• First line support for all HR IS solutions queries locally in India
• Responsible for defining salary levels and ranges, preparing offer letters
• Promote the use of Employee Self Service (ESS) and Management Self Service (MSS) – educate and show where to find information
• Log case and handle short duration (typically less than 4-5 minutes) activities at first point of contact locally in India
• Ensure cases are opened and closed appropriately and action notes captured
• Produce reports and analytics as requested by HR BP in support of Strategic Workforce Planning activities
• Provide HR policy advice to line managers in handling or escalating employee issues
• Manage leave of absence cases and escalate cases to managers, HR BP and/or Tier 3 where necessary
• Generate regular reports on sick leave, follow up sick leave cases, time and attendance follow up
• Support line managers and ensure documentation and filing in handling of disciplinary cases
• Administer and support exit/leave processes
• Manage employee records (incl. employee contracts) and ensure HR records meet legal requirements
• Support requests locally also related ES and access CB to assist with necessary information
• Close cooperation with other HR functions within the GBS Global Hub
Requirements:
• BA or MA degree in HR or other similar area
• 3-5+ years of experience in Human Resources field, especially in Compensation Benefits or in a Generalist role
• Fluent English
• Knowledge of the local labor regulations
• Ability to get work done and delivered correctly and efficiently within frames and deadlines and according to agreed processes
• Experience in administrative tasks related to employee deployment or exit (retirement, resignation and termination) processes
• Experience in positioning, review and modify salary ranges based on specific inputs from other areas
• Helpful, beneficial, or friendly business conduct
• Experience in SSC field is a benefit
• Payroll knowledge is a plus
