About Us


We are seeking a dedicated Housing Officer to manage a mixed caseload of General Needs and Exempt Housing Benefit (EHB) tenancies across our 2 sites, Clare Road and Grey Court.


The role involves delivering day-to-day housing management functions, ensuring properties are well-maintained, tenancies are sustained, and services are tailored to the needs of tenants, especially those with additional vulnerabilities.

The Role



What You'll Do


Manage a caseload of both general needs and supported housing tenancies, including sign-ups, tenancy reviews, property inspections, and void checks.
Coordinate repairs and maintenance, ensure properties meet safety and habitability standards, and support compliance with legal and health safety regulations.
Build strong relationships with tenants, support their understanding of tenancy agreements, and provide advice on hygiene, property upkeep, and safe appliance use.
Liaise with statutory and voluntary agencies, local authorities, and internal support services to advocate for residents and resolve tenancy-related issues.
Oversee property readiness including utilities setup and furniture provision in line with the charity’s standards.

About You



You bring proven experience in housing, tenancy management, or a related community-focused role, along with a strong understanding of both general needs and supported housing models. Resilient and compassionate, you're confident collaborating with partners and thrive in high-pressure environments where your skills make a real difference.
