Freelance Product Designer

We’re looking for a skilled Product Designer to help develop the next generation of Wave Ear Plugs—comfortable, stylish, and uniquely engineered. You’ll create original earplug designs that are both functional and patent-safe, with attention to acoustic performance, ergonomics, and style. Bonus if you’ve worked on wearables or audio accessories before.

Skills:

-Industrial/Product Design background (preferably from NID, IIT, or similar)

-Proficiency in CAD software: SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360

-Experience designing wearable or in-ear products (earbuds, hearing aids, earplugs)

-Knowledge of materials like medical-grade silicone, ABS plastic, TPE

-Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) – especially for small molded items

-Familiarity with 3D printing for prototyping

-Bonus: Experience working with IP attorneys or understanding of patent databases

Qualifications
• Proficient in Visual Design and Product Design
• Strong understanding and application of Design Thinking principles
• Experience in conducting User Research and UX Research
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field is preferred
