Key Responsibilities:

Creating and updating electrical drawings:This includes single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, panel layouts, and cable routing diagrams.
Working with CAD software:Proficiency in software like AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar is essential for creating and modifying drawings.
Interpreting design specifications:Draughtsmen must understand and accurately represent engineering and architectural designs in their drawings.
Ensuring compliance with standards:Designs must adhere to relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) and local regulations.
Coordinating with other professionals:Draughtsmen collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure designs meet project requirements.
Maintaining documentation:They manage and update project documentation, including revisions and as-built drawings.
Developing bills of materials:They may be responsible for creating a bill of materials based on the electrical drawings.
Troubleshooting and problem-solving:Identifying and resolving discrepancies in drawings or technical documentation is a key part of the role.
