Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Computer Science Teacher to teach foundational digital literacy and computer skills to students from Grade 1 to Grade 5. The ideal candidate will design engaging, age-appropriate lessons that develop problem-solving, creativity, and safe technology use among young learners.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver computer classes aligned with grade-level learning outcomes and CBSE/NEP 2020 guidelines.
Introduce children to basic computer operations, typing, block-based coding (e.g., Scratch), and digital creativity tools.
Integrate technology into cross-curricular projects (e.g., creating storybooks, presentations).
Teach internet safety, responsible digital behavior, and the ethical use of technology.
Maintain computer lab equipment and manage basic troubleshooting needs.
Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments.
Coordinate with homeroom teachers to support project-based learning using technology.
Participate in school events, teacher meetings, and training sessions.
Qualifications Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Education (B.Ed preferred).
Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in a primary school setup.
Familiarity with early-grade digital tools (MS Office, Scratch, Paint, Tux Typing, etc.).
Patience, creativity, and strong communication skills with young learners.
Ability to integrate values and character education into lessons.
Passion for education and child development.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of coding platforms like Code.org, Scratch Jr, or Blockly.
Experience in Google Workspace for Education.
Classroom management in digital learning environments.
Innovative mindset to make learning fun and interactive.
