Do you have a passion for creating exceptional events and experiences? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Banquet Manager to join our team. The Banquet manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of banquet operations, from menu planning and design to execution and guest experience.
We are seeking a highly creative and motivated Banquet Manager to join our team. A successful candidate will have a passion for creating memorable experiences and will bring fresh ideas to our events.
Essential Functions:
Review Banquet Event Orders for schedule of daily functions.
Prepare banquet rooms for assigned functions.
Prioritize the basic needs of assigned functions.
Perform both opening and closing procedures.
Maintain appropriate levels of food and beverage items.
Maintain good service times.
Manage the selection, training, supervision, development, discipline and termination of banquet employees.
Prepare and conduct timely and accurate performance reviews with staff.
Schedule staff for banquet functions.
Perform monthly inventory of all banquet equipment.
Creatively solve unusual customer requests.
Utilize knowledge of physical capabilities of banquet space.
Maintain labor costs to meet budget.
Prepare and present bill to customer for function.
Know basic bar terminology and wine service.
Display knowledge of food preparation and service.
Complete all necessary paperwork as assigned.
Ensure equipment is in proper working order.
Ensure that all doors and equipment are locked securely, everything is turned off and keys are returned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of three years banquet/catering experience.
Possession of government required licenses or certificates.
Knowledge and understanding of quality food service techniques and standards.
Knowledge of beverage cost control guidelines.
Exceptional guest service skills.
