Qualifications
Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)
Excellent communication and people skills; must be professional, patient, and empathetic

J.D. degree from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law or recently passed the bar

Responsibilities
Legal Representation: Assist in representing clients in immigration, bankruptcy, personal injury, accident, and criminal cases, including court hearings, trials, and administrative proceedings under supervision
Client Communication: Conduct client consultations, provide legal advice, and maintain regular communication to keep clients informed about case progress
Legal Research Writing: Perform thorough legal research and draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, pleadings, affidavits, and correspondence
Case Management: Support the lead attorney in managing a high-volume caseload, ensuring deadlines are met and cases are handled efficiently
Document Preparation: Prepare and review legal forms, applications, and supporting documentation for submission to courts and government agencies
Negotiation: Engage in settlement negotiations and plea discussions, as applicable, to achieve favorable outcomes for clients
Collaboration: Work closely with the sole practitioner and legal support staff to coordinate case strategies and ensure comprehensive client service
Court Agency Appearances: Attend court hearings, immigration interviews, and agency appointments, representing clients effectively with appropriate supervision
