Shangri-La Sydney is searching for an experienced and passionate Head Waiter to join our award-winning Altitude Restaurant, located high above the city with breathtaking views of Sydney Harbour.


As Head Waiter, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering a world-class dining experience. You’ll lead by example, guiding the front-of-house team to provide attentive, intuitive service in an elegant, fine-dining environment.


What You’ll Do:

Supervise daily service operations, ensuring seamless and professional guest experiences

Train, mentor, and support wait staff to uphold luxury service standards

Liaise with kitchen and management teams to coordinate smooth service flow

Maintain deep knowledge of food and wine offerings to assist guests confidently

Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and special requests with grace and efficiency

About You:

Previous experience in a fine-dining leadership role

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Passion for exceptional service and attention to detail

Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-end environment

Knowledge of wine and food pairing is highly desirable
