Resort Assistant General Manager

Kalahari Resorts Conventions is seeking a Resort Assistant General Manager. In this role, you run the resort on a day-to-day basis to achieve stated objectives in employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and profitability. You'll be responsible for assisting the Resort General Manager in providing overall leadership, guidance, and direction to the hotel management team as it strives to provide the highest quality standards and services. This position is essentially the "face" of the Resort and must represent the Resort knowledgeably and eloquently. You'll also ensure that the Resort complies with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.

Your focus will be tied to five major departments, including Food Beverage, Waterpark, Rooms, Retail, and Spa Kalahari. You've got to love being on the floor with our associates and guests!

Key Responsibilities

Assists General Manager in overseeing and coordinating the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in Resort sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.
Responsible for managing both the revenue and (PL) Profit Loss of the Resort.
Assists GM in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Resort.
Assist the GM in providing overall leadership, guidance, and direction to the hotel management team as it strives to provide the highest quality in standards and services.
Is essentially the "face" of the Resort and must represent the Resort in a knowledgeable and eloquent manner.
What We're Looking For

We do require that you have experience consisting of five years' extensive managerial and supervisory experience as a Food and Beverage Director, General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Director of Rooms of a large (over 500 rooms) hotel/resort or hospitality environment.
THIS POSITION IS SLATED TO BE FILLED AROUND NOVEMBER 2025

At this point, we hope to have discovery calls and casual conversations that lead to in-person interviews. This will not be a quick process.
