Full job description
Hynds is looking for a hands-on, safety-focused Yard & Customer Service team member to keep our branch running smoothly — loading trucks, operating the forklift, and delivering great service to our customers.
About the Role
Load and unload trucks safely and accurately
Operate the forklift to move, store, and load/unload product
Keep the yard tidy, organised, and well-stocked
Inspect and maintain equipment, reporting any issues
Support stocktakes, cycle counts, and stock adjustments
Assist customers with orders, queries, and product advice
Receive and check inwards goods against paperwork
Report hazards, near misses, and incidents
Help maintain branch appearance and housekeeping standards
What We're Looking For
Full Class 1 NZ driver's licence with F endorsement
Forklift experience (or willingness to be trained)
Strong commitment to health and safety
Great customer service skills and a can-do attitude
Good attention to detail
Ability to lift and move products up to 20kg
A reliable team player who takes ownership
