Warehouse Team Lead (Afternoon Shift)

Job Summary
Our warehouse team is growing, and we are looking for a talented Team Lead to assign work, monitor performance, plan, oversee and participate in the warehouse operations and activities while providing direction to assigned personnel. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the successful candidate will be required to supervise the afternoon shift, ensuring that all warehouse function targets are achieved during the shift and operate Warehouse equipment when necessary. In addition, the Team Lead will be expected to train new employees and assist in creating a culture of continuous improvement. The job also includes encouraging a team-oriented, safe, and clean working environment
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and prioritize the activities of warehouse employees, including organizing, assigning, and distributing customer orders
Communicate issues or concerns related to operational procedures and/or personnel issues with Warehouse Management to address
Assist in training new Warehouse Employees
Operate the Raymond Reach/Cherry Picker to assist in achieving shift targets
Seek continuous improvement in operational, organizational, and team building processes
Ensure all standard operating procedures are followed and adhered to daily
Perform special tasks and assignments as required by Warehouse Management
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Supervisory/Lead Hand position in a warehouse environment
Health and Safety Certification required
Minimum of 8 years' experience using RF scanners
Minimum of 8 years' experience working with inventory control and cycle counts
Comfortable using and navigating in a WMS application
Proficient with MS Excel
Certified Raymond Reach/Cherry Picker Operator with valid license
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and follow-up skills required
Have a good understanding of WMS and RF Scanners
Ability to motivate within a team setting and lead by example to attain shift targets
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs on a regular basis
Effective time management skills with an attention to detail
Strong sense of urgency and takes pride in work
