About Our Clinic
At Saanichton Village Veterinary Hospital, we pride ourselves on delivering compassionate, high-quality care to our patients and outstanding service to their families. We are a busy, family-oriented, practice looking for an empathetic, organized, and energetic Client Care Representative to join our front-of-house team.
Position Overview
As the face and voice of our clinic, the Client Care Representative plays a vital role in the client experience. You will manage the flow of the front desk, handle multi-line phones, triage patient needs, and provide a warm, welcoming environment for clients during both joyful check-ups and stressful emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service: Greet clients, check patients in/out, and manage the reception environment with a warm and professional demeanor.
Communication: Answer phone calls and emails, schedule appointments, and relay accurate medical messages between clients and veterinary staff.
Triage & Coordination: Accurately identify urgent medical situations vs. routine inquiries to manage the daily schedule efficiently.
Administration: Process client payments, manage medical records using Impromed Software and handle prescription/food refill requests.
Pharmacy Support: Safely dispense medications under veterinary direction and explain basic administration instructions to clients.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Minimum ONE YEAR of experience in customer service, hospitality, or medical reception. Direct experience in a veterinary clinic or a strong familiarity with veterinary terminology is highly preferred.
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency with computers, multi-line phone systems, and client management software.
Attributes: A high degree of empathy, emotional intelligence, and resilience when dealing with stressed pet owners or difficult situations. Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
