Veterinary Assistant / Receptionist
Location: Alliston, ON
Pay: $19.80–$25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Permanent | Full-time or Part-time

What You'll Do
Assist veterinarians and registered veterinary technicians with patient care
Prepare patients for examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
Take and process diagnostic radiographs
Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostic testing
Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
Monitor and care for hospitalized patients
Safely handle and restrain animals of various sizes and temperaments
Educate clients on medications, home care, nutrition, and preventative health
Maintain accurate medical records
Assist with reception duties, including answering phones, booking appointments, and providing excellent customer service when needed
What We're Looking For
Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital (2+ years preferred)
Strong animal handling and restraint skills
Experience with laboratory procedures, radiography, and patient care is an asset
Friendly, compassionate, and professional with clients and coworkers
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Reliable transportation
Ability to lift and carry at least 20 lbs
Fluent in English
