Responsibilities
Provide lactation support for postpartum patients, including assessment of lactation needs and development of evidence-based care plans in collaboration with IBCLC/CLC qualifications
Monitor maternal and neonatal status, document progress, and adjust plans to promote safe and effective feeding
Educate patients and families on breastfeeding techniques, latch, positioning, bottle feeding alternatives, and discharge planning
Collaborate with obstetric, pediatric, and nursing teams to coordinate care and ensure patient safety and comfort
Document in the EMR (EPIC) and participate in care rounds and handoffs as part of the care team

Requirements
Current Massachusetts RN license with NURSYS license verification within the last 7 days
Certifications: BLS and NRP; IBCLC or CLC certification required at submission
Experience: 1–2 years RN experience; 1–2 years lactation RN experience preferred
EMR: EPIC experience required or preferred
RTO requests must be included at submission and may not be guaranteed after confirmation
Ability to work in a hospital postpartum setting and participate in a 32-hour guaranteed week
