Veterinary Assistant

Are you a motivated and enthusiastic animal lover looking to work in the Veterinary industry? Foothills Animal Hospital in Okotoks, AB is looking for a full time Vet/Tech Assistant to join our busy team. Our new team member will have a positive attitude, love working with animals and people, and be proficient in typing, spelling and grammar. You can't be shy! You will spend a lot of time with our veterinary team and our clients. Ease with handling animals is necessary, but we'll show you everything you need to know to do it efficiently and safely.

Your duties will include assisting the veterinarian in appointments, follow-up care of animals in our hospital, assisting our RVT’s prior to and following surgery, and managing follow-up with our clients.

If you have experience as a tech assistant that's wonderful, but we are willing to train the right person! Experience with AVImark would be an asset.

This is a full time, permanent position. You will work 4 x 10 hour shifts each week with 3 days off per week. Wage will be dependent on applicant’s experience.
