Title: Technical Writer - Intern
About Us:
Paytm is India’s leading digital payments and financial services company, which is focused on driving consumers and merchants to its platform by offering them a variety of payment use cases. Paytm provides consumers with services like utility payments and money transfers, while empowering them to pay via Paytm Payment Instruments (PPI) like Paytm Wallet, Paytm UPI, Paytm Payments Bank Netbanking, Paytm FASTag and Paytm Postpaid - Buy Now, Pay Later. To merchants, Paytm offers acquiring devices like Soundbox, EDC, QR and Payment Gateway where payment aggregation is done through PPI and also other banks’ financial instruments. To further enhance merchants’ business, Paytm offers merchants commerce services through advertising and Paytm Mini app store. Operating on this platform leverage, the company then offers credit services such as merchant loans, personal loans and BNPL, sourced by its financial partners.
About the role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for writing and a desire to learn new technologies. As a Technical Writer, you will work closely with our engineering teams to produce high-quality documentation that helps our users understand our products and services.
Responsibilities:
Write clear and concise technical documentation, including user manuals, product guides,and release notes
Collaborate with engineers and product managers to understand technical concepts and
translate them into easy-to-understand language.
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and clarity of all documentation
Continuously work on the improvement of documentation processes and standards
Work with cross-functional teams to gather information and develop documentation plans
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in technical writing, English, journalism, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Familiarity with documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, Office
Experience with HTML, CSS, and content management systems is a plus
Have basic understanding on technical terms and coding practices
Passion for technology and the ability to learn new technologies quickly
