We are looking for a Team Leader Compliance to join our Regulatory Services Team. This is a unique leadership opportunity for a compliance professional who enjoys working across a diverse regulatory portfolio including Environmental Health, Resource Management Act (RMA) Compliance, and Building Compliance. You’ll be part of the Regulatory Leadership Team and oversee a dedicated team, manage key regulatory contracts, support enforcement and monitoring functions, and help ensure our communities remain safe, healthy, and compliant.

What Will You Do? | Ka aha koe?
Key responsibilities will include:
Lead, mentor and support compliance staff to achieve team objectives
Foster a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture
Assist with compliance schedule management, provide advice and undertaking enforcement activities
Maintain accurate records and an active compliance monitoring schedule

We are looking for someone with:
Essential:
Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, standards and compliance processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and time management capabilities
Ability to influence outcomes while maintaining positive relationships
Desirable:
Experience working within a local government compliance environment
Experience interpreting legislation and applying regulatory requirements
