The HR Generalist is an People & Culture role that provides essential operational support across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with the HR Manager, the HR Generalist ensures our people processes run smoothly, that employees feel supported from day one, and that our systems and records are maintained to a high standard of accuracy and completeness.
Role Outline
The role of the HR Generalist is to support the day-to-day administration of the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, HRIS administration, policy guidance, employee welfare and culture check-ins, probation cycle management, and the generation of employee letters and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and administer the end-to-end onboarding process for all new starters, ensuring all documentation is complete and new starters are set up correctly in all systems from day one
• Ensure all new employee records are created correctly and completely in Keka HR and other HRIS platforms prior to commencement
• Deliver system orientation and training to new starters on HR tools and self-service platforms
• Maintain accurate and complete employee records across all HR systems, including Keka, Bonusly, and Culture Amp, making timely updates as required
• Serve as the first point of contact for employees with questions regarding company policies, procedures, entitlements, and general HR matters, providing clear and timely guidance
• Escalate complex or sensitive employee matters to the HR Manager appropriately and promptly
• Conduct regular employee welfare and culture check-ins across the Analyst level employed population in the Hyderabad office, monitoring engagement and wellbeing, and reporting themes to the HR Manager
• Support the delivery of recognition and engagement initiatives, including Bonusly administration and broader culture programmes
• Manage the probation cycle end-to-end — scheduling initial and mid-probation meetings, following up with managers, and ensuring all outcomes are accurately recorded in the HRIS
• Draft and issue all probation-related letters and documentation, including outcome notices and confirmation letters
• Support administration of the performance review cycle, ensuring all scheduled review meetings are completed and recorded accurately
• Issue and action employee letters and formal HR documentation, including offer letters, confirmation of employment letters, contract amendments, relieving letters, and service certificates
• Prepare draft employee letters for review by the HR Manager where appropriate
• Administer leave and attendance records, flagging discrepancies or patterns to the HR Manager for follow-up
• Assist with recruitment administration activities including interview scheduling and coordination with hiring managers
• Conduct periodic audits of employee files to ensure completeness and compliance with company recordkeeping requirements
• Support the coordination of team collaboration days and culture engagement activities as directed by the HR Manager

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• 3–5 years of experience in an HR, people operations, or administrative support role
• Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with employees at all levels
• Methodical and process-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy and completeness in record-keeping
• Comfortable working with HR systems; prior experience with Keka HRIS or similar platforms is highly advantageous
• A genuine interest in people and culture, with a warm and approachable manner when supporting employees
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion
• Desirable (not mandatory): professional Telugu language skills
