A fantastic opportunity to work within a secondary school as a Science Graduate Teaching Assistant in Haringey and surrounding areas.

Step Into Teaching are keen to recruit graduates who are keen to gain some experience as a Teaching Assistant with an aspiration of becoming a Science Teacher.

If you're predicted or currently hold a degree in Science, then this could be the ideal position for you. Seeking graduates that are enthusiastic about Science and have a genuine desire to better the educational outcomes of the pupils they work with.

The successful Science Graduate Teaching Assistant must:
• Have a Science degree with a predicted grade to finish this year or currently holds a 2:2 or above Science based degree. Strong A-Level results in the subject will also be ideal.
• Be passionate about Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Be able to inspire and motivate
• Have high expectations for students learning achievement and behaviour
• Be Passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people
• Be creative, friendly and approachable

The opportunity:
• Full-time role, Monday-Friday
• Start ASAP to JULY 2025 with the view to extend the contract into the 2025 /2026 academic year.
• £515.00-£530.00 per week (term time only)

Who are Step Into Teaching?

We are a pre teacher training programme that is designed to support and encourage graduates like yourself to choose to teach. We will typically provide you with one years’ worth of practical school-based experience that is an essential foundation for a long-lasting successful career in teaching, educational psychology or counselling. This experience will allow you to qualify for teacher training in the future but will also give you insight into whether teaching is for you.
