Qualified Teacher Position – 40 hours per week – 8.00am – 5.00pm each day

This is a full-time 40 hour per week position in an established and well-resourced kindergarten operating 6 hour and full day sessions with a roll of 40 children and a 1:10 teacher to child ratio. The Kindergarten is open in the term breaks.

The Kindergarten is next to Redoubt North School and provides flexible learning spaces for children aged between 2 – 5 years in a diverse close-knit community.

We are seeking a qualified teacher who is an enthusiastic, collaborative, self-motivated team player and great communicator, passionate about teaching in a mixed-age multi-cultural setting, supporting active children from diverse backgrounds.

The teaching team promotes learning through play in a safe and stimulating environment, which fosters communication and socialisation skills, creative thinking, problem-solving and coping with change and challenges. The successful applicant must have sound knowledge of current approaches to teaching and learning, including internal evaluation; be committed to on-going professional development; and have a passion for supporting, enriching and documenting children’s learning progress. As the kindergarten is an Enviroschool centre, an interest in environmental sustainability would be an advantage.

Salary range of $61,948 – $103,086 assessed on the service history of a Kaiako (as per Kindergarten Teachers Collective Agreement)

Applicants require a minimum Level 7 Diploma or Bachelor of Teaching ECE, current first aid certificate and teacher practicing certificate.
