Qualified Teacher Position – 40 hours per week – 8.00am – 5.00pm each day
Job Code: TEREDOUBT528

This is a full-time 40 hour per week position in an established and well-resourced kindergarten operating 6 hour and full day sessions with a roll of 40 children and a 1:10 teacher to child ratio. The Kindergarten is open in the term breaks.

The Kindergarten is next to Redoubt North School and provides flexible learning spaces for children aged between 2 – 5 years in a diverse close-knit community.

We are seeking a qualified teacher who is an enthusiastic, collaborative, self-motivated team player and great communicator, passionate about teaching in a mixed-age multi-cultural setting, supporting active children from diverse backgrounds.

The teaching team promotes learning through play in a safe and stimulating environment, which fosters communication and socialisation skills, creative thinking, problem-solving and coping with change and challenges. We offer a wide variety of opportunities, experiences and resources to empower and foster confident, competent learners

The successful applicant must have sound knowledge of current approaches to teaching and learning, including internal evaluation; be committed to on-going professional development; and have a passion for supporting, enriching and documenting children’s learning progress. As the kindergarten is an Enviroschool centre, an interest in environmental sustainability would be an advantage.

Salary range of $61,948 – $103,086 assessed on the service history of a Kaiako (as per Kindergarten Teachers Collective Agreement)

Applicants require a minimum Level 7 Diploma or Bachelor of Teaching ECE, current first aid certificate and teacher practicing certificate.
