Job Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated preschool teacher to join our
team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where young
children can explore, learn, and grow. The preschool teacher will develop and implement
engaging curriculum, foster positive relationships with children and families, and ensure the
safety and well-being of all students.
Responsibilities:
1. Curriculum Development:
o Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities
that promote children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical
development.
o Incorporate hands-on learning experiences, sensory activities, and creative
expression into the curriculum.
o Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs and interests of each
child.
2. Classroom Management:
o Establish and maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom
environment.
o Implement age-appropriate rules, routines, and expectations to promote
positive behavior and cooperation.
o Encourage independence and self-help skills in daily tasks.
3. Child Observation and Assessment:
o Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and milestones.
o Use assessment data to inform instruction and individualize learning
experiences for each child.
o Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's
development and progress.
4. Parent/Guardian Communication:
o Maintain open and effective communication with families through verbal and
written updates, meetings, and conferences.
o Collaborate with parents or guardians to support children's learning and
address any concerns or questions.
5. Professional Development:
o Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance
teaching skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education.
o Collaborate with colleagues and participate in team meetings to share ideas
and resources.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred).
State certification or licensure for preschool teaching (required).
Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting.
Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education
practices.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
CPR and First Aid certification (preferred).
